i am(or was or whatever) a christian....but all this christianity story sounds a lilttle bit strange to me so i want to do a kind of experiment. For two weeks i'll be an atheist to see if there will be any changes in my mind...it seems pretty logical what atheists say so i'd like to see if it's better to be an atheist than a christian...lol...it sounds crazy, but i want to know what you think, and if you think that more christians should do the same to see if there will be any changes in their mentality

Everyone needs to research and decide for themselves what is right for them. It sounds like you are doing just that. Good luck in finding your path---whatever that may or may not be.

First of all, I am a christian. Okay, you sound like you somewhat believe in Christianity and there could be a God. So, say you try this atheist thing for 2 weeks and don't live it out. And, now your dead standing before God. What are you going to do then? It's not better to be a atheist than a christian it just might be easier. But, this life is only temporary, eternity is forever. I rather struggle and have a hard life now then struggle for all eternity. The hard times are just God's test, if you pass each of his test things will start to get easier and easier. I know I personally have a hard time with the test and things ain't getting easier but I'm a work in progress. I lack patience and that looks as if that may be your problem and God test my patience over and over but I'm stubborn. But, I'm working on it and I know I'll get better and things will get easier on me and God will start testing me less. But, if you have a ounce of faith don't go atheist. I'd hate for something to happen and you have to go before God that way. Take care and God bless.

Well whatever floats your boat...but if you are that easily ok with deciding to be atheist for two weeks, then you were probably at least slightly an agnostic for a while already.
And no, unless you personally have problems, there should be no change in your mind. Your are who you are, and most of us non believers just go about our day with the usual mundane things the rest of you do as well, just without the religion added in.

I believe in God but I do not believe in follow the religion patterns that is out there for me. I grew up christian and found alot of oddness within it and left it.
Does this make me bad? Absolutely not and you'll be amazed because you actually become open and experience things that you couldn't as a christians due to christians rule.
I'm very happy the way I am as long as I keep my faith in God, I do not need to go to church or read a bible because people say so. What matters is as long as if you have faith but I also believe that is okay if people don't believe, I don't criticize that unlike the christians, or catholics.

If you need that kind of veification, I guess you could try that. Better hope you don't die during that time though. I seen a true story where a life long athiest died and went down the corridor and started to get mauled by weird twisted and demented people. They started torturing him and he lay there crying for God to help him, and he came back to life and lived to tell the tale. Today he is a priest.

well every person is free to do what they wish. I am a Christian and I know there is a God. Do what you must. I am not here to ***** at you and preach but if you fell thats what you should do then why are you even asking? Are you not a free person and do you really need feedback to see if others approve of your actions? I think you should focus on yourself and get some self esteem.

My opinion is that while you may have called yourself a Christian, you never knew Christ.
Anyone can call themselves whatever they want. But you either know Him or you don't. Sorry.
