I've been in trouble and almost died once. I've never gone to god (not since I turned agnostic / atheist at an early age), you've been misinformed about that.

When my life was good, people would tell me I needed some hard times to believe in god.

When life showed its bad face, people would tell me I was bitter with life and that's why I didn't believe in god.

Life has shown me something, some people try to make excuses about why others don't hold their beliefs. I don't know about your particular reasons, but some people do this.

I have never turned to the christian deity when I had problems and nor will I ever. It is a fallacy to believe that those who don't believe turn to a deity in times of trouble. Every human is born with the tools to take care of their own difficulties.

we all were created with a spiritual sense of need...and God is the one can help us, in our harsh times....because with his holy spirit he can support us, gives us streghth to keep on waiting until he puts an end to all wicked things, and the bible states that soon he will destroy everything which means, all wicked people and governments and religions that doesn't have his approval...will be perish, destroy, ended....and that will mean peace, justice, and joy for all of those who are up to here with this wicked world we live in....so keep on having faith and hope in Jehovah God, which is the only one that can bring all this wonders to humankind.
