First, if you are a minor, then you have no business consuming alcohol or any other legal substance, much less anything illegal.

You can either choose to silence your intellect and cling to the religious indoctrination in which you were raised, or you can think rationally about your circumstances and make up your own mind. There is no credible evidence to demonstrate the existence of either God or of hell.

Alcohol, though legal, is not only quite toxic, particularly the more you use it, but it is also quite addictive. As you mentioned your family drinks, there may be a genetic tendency towards addictive behavior, particularly alcoholism. You should think carefully about what you consume.

As for marijuana, it would appear that much of the scientific data around the world indicates it is a rather benign plant that only appears problematic for those who are already prone to addiction or to mental illness. However, it is ILLEGAL.

What does illegal mean? You may think it means the worse thing that can happen is you can be arrested and go to jail. That is NOT the worse thing that can happen. You can be asleep in bed and they can kick in your door, trash anything you value and everything you have, shoot all your pets, murder your loved ones and quite possibly you. And if the authorities don't kill you, they can in many states lock you aways for years, even decades, in state prisons merely for simple possession. Finally, when you get out, you won't be able to get a job because you're a convict, and all the things you previously owned like a car or a house will have been forfeited to the state to pay for the more homes to be terrorized, er, I meant, raided.

It is a bizarro world, but the fact is alcohol, though poisonous, is legal. No one will shoot you if you get caught with a whiskey sour. If you must alter your consciousness, then stick with the poison... it will take decades for it to kill you unless you do something stupid while under the influence.

Anytime you use something to excess, you aren't treating your body right. The Bible talks a lot about moderation. And the pot is illegal, so it is against the law of the land. I guess the best thing to do would be to ask yourself why you need these substances. Many times, it is just something to do because everyone around you is doing it. You are thinking about it, so that is good. If you stop doing these things and have a clear head, think what you can accomplish- I'm sure God has given you talents and dreams for your life. As far as your question are you going to burn for this, I think any time we are not trying to obey God's word, or are willfully disobedient, we are in peril of separation from God. You don't sound like to me you want to be separated from God. Don't feel guilty for the past- just get better in the future.
God bless you and your family.

DO you know why you are baptized? Have you ever received Jesus as your Lord and Savior? If not you are going to hell. Hell is separation from God. Anyway, the bible says not to be a drunkard. Also the body of those who converted is the temple of the Holy Spirit. This applies to drinking, smoking, drugs, over eating, mistreating your body in anyway.

Ultimately, you will be judged for the knowledge you possessed whilst on earth and whether or not you lived true to that knowledge. If you know that it is against God's will that you use illegal drugs and drink alcohol, then yes, you will be held accountable. God expects all of us to obey the laws of the country in which we live, so you have little excuse or justification for using marijuana. As for alcohol, I also suspect that you know you are abusing it by partaking of it on a daily basis.

If you truly pray to God daily, then you should have asked Him this question, not the rest of the world via yahoo! Answers.

My oh my..all these in depth answers...If it is the case...I'll see you there :) JUST KIDDING!! But in all seriousness. You answered your own question saying you believe in the Lord and you pray a lot...I am a Christian and I pray as well....not just when things go bad but when things are great in my life as they are now. I thank him for what I have :)
Weed is legal here where I am located (to a point) we have a place to get it "medicinally"
I have a friend that smokes it because she has to go through Chemo treatments...It REALLY helps her with her pain. It also gives her an appetite that she normally would not have at all.
Weed is not a drug...crack, crank, coke, heroin, hell even alcohol and cigarettes are worse and REAL DRUGS but I will tell you what my version of the Bible says...EVERYTHING IN MODERATION!! :)
Don't let other deep religious comments get to you...It's what's in your heart that matters.

NO! THAT is a contradicting **** coming from religion to just try to scare you into the things they think is inappropriate. I mean there are religion out there that use marijuana as part of their rituals such as native americans, buddha and different tribes.

Babe, Its harmless, people just make it seems alot worse than it is. I read a site that Archangel Micheal says it is good and bad for you and that it is good because it helps you relax and be on a spiritual elevation with our angels and etc but there are bad to it such as killin the brain cells.

The whole point of religion is that if you believe in God...thats all that matters what you do is the choice you make yourself and nobody likes your choices, who gives a damn, THEY shouldn't be judging you for what you do.

You will go to hell if you don't accept Jesus as your Savior.

Catholics can go to heaven, it's just harder because there are a lot of distractions in the Catholic religion.

Drinking and smoking pot will not send you to hell. But these too are distractions, and the Holy Spirit will help you kick these habits if you want to.

I sense that you are making excuses for yourself. The repentance you need will not come as long as you make excuses.

bakedevryday,
No. You will not go to hell for it, and no one in history has gone to hell for it.

I do know an apostate that did what youa re doing, in his case, he sunk. He did drugs while being a preacher and ignored God's warnings. The devil got to him and confused him. Now he thinks that
" faith left him. "

What Christians in many cases fail to do is recognize the war that's going on in the spiritual sense. They can't see it, so they forget about it, or were never taught about it.

Saying that you were baptised " catholic" doesn't help you. Trusting in Jesus Christ helps you.

I think that your main problemis that you are spiritually lazy. You seriously need to get off your butt and use your brain for something other than f'ing yourself up. As a Christian, you suck.

The drugs aren't the problem, dude, you are.

So what are you going to do? Do you even know where the closest Bible is? What version do you have?

Huh?

Why would you even suspect you would go to hell for such things? There's a secret most Christians don't know about - early Christians used psychodelic mushrooms as part of their religious practice. That's how Paul's vision was induced, and that's what was behind the writing of Revelation.

let me explain u some thing:
u have a body and u have a soul.
your soul is yours and will remain forever.
but your body has been given to u by god so u would take the chance to enter this world and live on it.do good and bad things by your will.
so the body does not belongs to u and it has been given to you in the best condition so you have to return it at best condition to god.
now if u smoke or drink u will defenatly hurt this body and that would be a sin.
but only for this I don't think god puts u in hell.
god will pay attention to what ever u have done in your life to yourself and the others and to him.
remember he will forgive bad things u have done to him and yourdelf but the bad things u do to people will never never be forggiven.so be care full be nice to people and do not do bad things to them.
