I don't think it would be. Maybe it is if there is an iron deficiency in your family. I was anemic over the past 3 months and iron pills helped combat it. I got close to needing a blood transfusion. Stay healthy!

Some types of anemia are hereditary for example Thalasemmia found in mediteranean people primarily and some hemoglobinopathies. Most young women just need some iron pills.

no, it is generally diet but other diseases can contribute to it. If you are make sure you are getting iron. Most Dr. recommend a lot of red meat such as liver. While not great tasting really does work to get you started with increasing your iron. If you have a history be being anemic have your Dr. run test to see why. Make sure there is not something causing it.

No.
Usually anemia is a symptom of not enough iron in the blood. A healthy diet rich with green veggies will help restore an iron-deificient system. A daily multivitamin with iron can help, too.

It is partially hereditary. it is due to blood loss, impaired red cell formation: Only in Thalassemia syndromes the genetic disorders play. Acquired deficiency due to iron deficiency, ,Vitamin B12, Folic acid. also due to Protein malnutrition. Other causes are : infection , drug induced, production deficiency, endocrine deficiency, infiltrative disorders of the bone marrow.
