Often the bread in a bakery doesn't have any preservatives so it will only last a few days.

I suggest freezing what you won't use in the next 3 days. You could refrigerate to make it last longer, but refrigeration makes it go stale fast. Freezing is the better option.

Oh, and if that's the same bread I buy from Sam's, I love eating it with goat cheese, fresh basil, & tomatoes.

If you keep it in an airtight container..you can squeeze a week out of it. Longer than that..and it's starting to get a little cardboardy. That's if you're just concerned about taste. (Of course for that..nothing beats fresh) (You can toss it in the freezer and recoup it months later..but it taste like the southbound end of a norhbound dog)
If you're concerned purely about health issues..and are wondering how long before you'll eat bread and get sick.....you can eat bread that's old as hell..hard as a rock..and live to tell the tale. Even when it's starting to get moldy..you can just rip of the mold and eat the "good" parts. Truth be told..even the mold won't hurt you. This is from experience. (Survival training and bachelor living before I got married....hmm..kind of one and the same)
Bon appetit!

It is not a stupid question just an incomplete one. Depends on the recipe they use, the type of bag it is in, how you store it, and under what conditions? No way you can get an accurate answer without this info.
Bread can be kept in the refrigerator or in the freezer but be sure it is in an air-tight bag and the air is removed as much as you can. This will make it last longer.
