You are right. They get well when they stop believing that pie in the sky like the European countries.

ISN'T IT GREAT THAT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA HAS OPEN BORDERS.....

DON'T LET THE STARS AND STRIPES HIT YOU ON THE WAY OUT ...

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE A BLITHERING IDIOT OR JUST DUMBER THAN SHYT

I wouldn't take too much stock in a report from an article written in a newspaper from a country where witchcraft is practiced by a greater percent of its population than anywhere else in the civilized world.

If you had even the slightest bit of high school science you would know that the number of variables in the study mentioned would be so numerous that it would be absolutely impossible to make credible findings. The number of independent variables for each set of circumstances have nothing to do with religion.

Notice there are no other countries mentioned. Did he compare the US to Haiti (over 1/2 of the pop. has some form of STD) or was it Dubai (a Muslim country where girls get the heads chopped off for showing too much of their ankles) Could he have been using some African tribes where young women are circumcised of the clitorises at a young age so that they may not have orgasms.

That's a SAFE.... GODLESS.... PRACTICE

I think there should be another study.... to find out how many people believe every bit of the crap they read in the friggin' newspaper.

I hope that someday you don't have some doctor telling you that there is no hope for your baby and she is going to die. Let's see who you call on then; the author of that article or GOD

I've been considering moving to China or Japan for a while now, but America is a nice place. It's easy to find work, and there is high demand for someone with my qualifications. Plus, everything is convenient, and I can get food and art from anywhere else in the world with minimal difficulty. Crime isn't too bad where I live, either.

More importantly, though, I don't want to have to flee because of the religious people. I'd rather they leave the country. More likely, the young generation growing up will be less religious than the old generation, and their kids will be less religious still.

I do think religion can cause evil, but people still have to have faith in something. I don't believe in religion, but I believe in God. The relationship between a person and God should only include that person and God. None of this church stuff and outside influences. We should honor God the way the individual wants to honor God. Religion causes too much hatred and sorrow. Religion is all about control.

Depends on what you mean by "safer". Sounds like you're not including our children's as well as our souls in your question.
Look at how so many moral things have gone out the window without religion implimented in schools, public arenas. Most schools are horrible and show our children things that we as adults wouldn't even see.
And don't say it's because of "freedom of speech" or "separation of church and state" because both of those things are horribly distorted and mythical. Freedom of speech is used when convenient and the separation of church and state only means that the government can't control the church.
So I think with God, the maker of the universe on our side, you can't go wrong. Heaven help those who don't think we need Him.

Everyone in the US has the the freedom to believe whatever they want, lets hope that never changes. Its not religions fault the world is so screwed up and we are one of the better countries theres many worse ones.

Didnt Russia try to prohibit religion? That doesnt work. People need to believe in something if not their own higher self.

No amount of facts or reason can counter faith in the mind of a faith zombie.

Fortunately, about 2/3 of those who believe do so because they find the evidence compelling rather than because they really have faith. That 2/3 can be persuaded with facts and reason.

Actually, it's not God that's the problem. It's people that refuse to abide by the teachings of the Bible which leads to division amongst the people.

You would do well for yourself to know exactly what it says.
