Try Mayonnaise, Baby Oil, or even dish soap. Careful with their eyes though!
Please! Let us know if it worked, that is a very interesting situation you got there!

Ha! This problem brings back memories!! About 25 years ago, my sister 'did up' my hair before I went to a 60's dance. Yep, she slicked it all back with Vaseline. I had no idea that it was the wrong thing to put into my hair until I tried to shower it out. I washed it with shampoo 7 times only to give up and try powdered laundry soap tow times, then dawn dish washing soap a few times, Go-jo a few times, then a heavy duty degreaser and was considering gasoline until my sister finally suggested baby oil. Yep, it took out the Vaseline, and then regular shampoo took out the baby oil.
Good luck and thanks for a memory I had forgotten. :)

OMG! Get them out of the shower now. Water & oil do NOT mix.
Dry them off thoroughly. Then start with Baby Powder (absorbs the grease) and let them sit for a bit. Towel off any excess and reapply the Baby Powder again. Sit some more -- giving the talcum time to absorb the vaseline.
Then shower using a gentle shampoo and conditioner.

1. Get as much out as you can with paper towels and cotton rags.
2. Apply dishwashing detergent (Dawn suggested) and work into the Vaseline.
3. Add water and rinse out.
4. Reapply Dawn, rub in and rinse out.
5. Finally, shampoo with regular shampoo. Use conditioner after shampooing.
Good luck!

I did this recently! I had to wash my hair over and over again so it would come out. I used hand soap. But in retrospect, dish soap is best to use, becuase it will break the vaseline down faster.

Dish Detergent, not the stuff for dishwashers, but the stuff you use in the sink. It may take a couple of washes, but it's meant to cut grease and that is what vaseline is.

Ajax dishwashing liquid with orange is the best for getting greasy stuff clean, my husband has a very greasy dirty job and it gets him clean.I also use it as hand soap, because it is cheaper and it smells good, and does not dry you out... and if that fails get some simple green....smells bad but cut all grease and goo... Good luck

Go get some deep cleansing shampoo like Neutrogena and shampoo several times. That stuff is greasy so its going to take several shampoos before you get it out. Good luck.

I know it sounds weird but, try using baking soda and shampoo mixture, let it soak in for awhile, rinse and repeat until the vasalene is gone. The baking soda will absord all the vasalene and should work for ya. Good Luck!

Try Dawn dish soap. It's made to break down grease and oil. Be very careful not to get it in their eyes!
