A troll is a creature that is thought of as short and ugly, it is meant as an insult. Obviously you are not are troll. So this statement is not true. When people in today's society don't like someone and want to insult them they call them a troll to make the person feel bad and to ridicule them. They are also attempting public agreement and approval of what they are saying and trying to be popular with the devilish side of man.

Ok...by the time you read this well everyone before me has already said it. You maam are asking or posting stuff which is either too inflamatory (meaning demeaning or insulting to some) or just plain stupid that it offends intellectuals. That my friend is a description of a Troll.
How to avoid this...simple. Phrase your questions in such a way that you wont offend too many people while getting your point out.

In E-speak, a "troll" is a negative term to describe someone who is looking for attention from others on bulletin boards or discussion forums, usually by putting up bizarre or incredible posts/questions. Here at home, the word "troll" is used to describe someone who lives in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan (you know, we live "under the bridge") as opposed to people from the Upper Peninsula, who are called "Yoopers," or people from Mackinac Island, who are called "Fudgies" (Fudge is the #1 industry on Mackinac Island)

Well in the original fairy tales a troll lurked under a bridge and did evil things.
On the INternet a troll lurks on a board or site and posts nonsense just to mess with people.

A troll is someone like LUDD (the imposter LUDD not the other one) or fatherbobmarley, who participate just to try to annoy people. They're usually bored 14 year old nerds with an inferiority complex who get a sense of empowerment through this type of behavior.

A troll is a person that makes posts that are intended to do nothing but aggravate others. This means that you probably aggravated a bunch of people with one of your former posts.

That's kind of ironic. A troll asking what a troll is.
Let's explain it in simple terms.
You know how inflammatory your questions are? That's trolling.
You're not looking for a response, you're looking to infuriate people.
That's trolling. Making you, a troll.
See how that works?
