it is law that a commercial e-mail have a link to opt out of future mailings. if there is no link for that purpose it is spam. forward it to the fbi

Some spammers use remove requests as a confirmation that your e-mail address is valid and start sending even more spam. A better solution is to get a spam filtering program like the ones offered by Norton and McAfee, or if you're using web mail most providers offer a bulk folder and/or filtering and blocking to catch unsolicited e-mails.
If it's coming from a Yahoo Group, just log in to the group and go to the "edit membership" page. You can choose not to receive e-mails there (select "web only").
