I think that half the time they make up a decision, think "this is what god would want" or "this idea is in my head, so basically god told me it" and tell everyone they were told by god like no one would believe them if they said it themselves. the other half the time i'd say they're just posers.

I can believe the spoke to me part, but not the saw him part. God is spirit so there is nothing physical to see.
God on the other hand has been speaking to all of us from birth but we are all to busy to listen. Get off the nonsense train for a while and listen and you may be surprised what you hear.
Here is something that God said to me in one of my meditations.
I am the ocean, you are the raindrops. We are the same. You raindrops, because of your similar size and location, see yourselves as separate, as units, as individuals. This perception of your selves has been your only reality since you were born in the clouds. You have no other perspective of your selves. As you fall through your short lives here, you see the ocean far below. On a certain level you understand that it and you are one and the same. You envy its magnificence. The thought comes,” I am water too, am I not also part of this magnificence?” Then you realize that you are but an insignificant raindrop. You can only look at that distant ocean in awe. The ocean with its timeless knowledge sees you quite differently. It sees you for what you really are. Its most precious children, bravely returning home to share the experience that ocean as a whole could never have experienced. The ocean has nothing but love for you. Because it understands that it is you, and that you are it. It knows only truth. Until the moment you reunite you can only speculate. The ocean's love for you is unconditional. It holds no foolish thought of punishing you for not falling quite right. It only waits with great patience for your homecoming.
The tiny collisions you had with the other drops on the way down, at the time seemed so significant. Often you feared that if you mingled with them too long you might get to close and in the process even lose your identity. All this because you understood your true identity not! You are ocean, you always were ocean, you always will be ocean. How you currently perceive yourself raindrop, snow flake, puddle, stream, River, or lake matters not. This is all illusion, only perception. You are ocean, you are spirit. You and I are one; we are the All That Is!

At times God does speak to people. The Bible says NOT to believe someone JUST because he or she says that. It says to TEST the spirits of the person claiming this. This means look to see if what they say lines up with Gods already Written Truth. Does it line up with what other who have been tested say. And does it even have any validity for your life. (Many times a word can be true but NOT intended for you personally as a good secular example I could say "Tickets on the redline are 10 dollars" this is true because I am a Club Member and can get them at 10 dollars. YOU not being a member may have to pay 12 dollars if you went to buy one and they said tickets are 12 dollars does that make my statement NOT true?) So if someone tells you they have a message from God. Then TEST the spirit of the message it may not be true or it may be true but not for YOU or it may be true ONLY for you.

If God told him to be a better person, or to be happy, or that a loved one was okay up in heaven, then yes, believe whatever you want. If God told him to start a church in an isolated part of Idaho and wage war on the infidels, then call the authorities.

Does the person display qualities of God in his life. Does his life match up with the Bible and living out true God like love. If so, I might be inclined to believe them. If not, I'll ignore them.

i think of you're observing the "pronunciation" line in that lexicon dictionary result. I think of meaning it extremely is how the be conscious for "god" in Aramaic is reported. and that i'm guessing those capital letter point out which of the letters and marks could be written out in Aramaic script, considering the fact that (like Hebrew) the written Aramaic be conscious does not have revealed lots of the vowels. .

I dont know how often it happens but i believe that if God choses he can communicate to people that way in today's world. It's really a judgement call. Who is telling you this? Is it someone who take his/her faith seriously? Do you trust them not to joke about things like that? Did they seem genuine when they told yyou? Ask yourself these questions.

I believe he saw something, that is, his brain perceived something. But it was not a god independent and separate from his brain. His brain generated the god-image, like dreams or hallucinations. Note that seeing god is not a dream or a hallucination, but it is another category of things the brain can self-generate.

sadly i think most people wouldnt believe a person saying this. I dont think i would. People have gotten to the point where they may believe in God, but anyone who says they have seen God or spoken to Him, they dont believe. I dont know why.
