It is just an expression - a figure of speech. Not really from the Bible but the word prophecy is and it helps picture a situation when a person says something, and then it happens. As if there thoughts and direction to it made it happen.
Like " I am going to get a D in this class" and then you do. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
The BIble has accounts of prophecy from prophets that all have been fulfilled other than Revelation which is still to come. Many of the Old Testament prophecies were about Jesus (Isaiah) hundreds of years in advance and each were accurate and fulfilled.

a self-fulfilling prophecy is when you hear like from a psychic or somehting that something is supposed to happen and whether you notice it or not, you try to make it happen so it feels like the prophecy is coming true. or you look too deep into some things and try to apply the prophecy to everything. The bible does not fall into this category, but some people who read the bible do. you have to have your eyes open and dont just fall for the first thing that could be. you have to know what to expect.
hope i helped.
God bless.

The Bible was written by Man BC and not AD:Therefore any evidence of prior knowledge was not even comprehensible that proves false representation causing people to turn too Atheists.
Prophecy is stated in the Bible for those who believe, but it is missing information(scriptures) The conflict is hardened to the fat of comprehension rather than statements of fact or opinion.
No one can add to the Bible much less take away any words that are written it is so stated in Revelations and if this is true then the generations of Cain are not simplified to have been Eve's children
leaving the question......who was Cains wife??? This doubt of information becomes a prophect that one must understand to have faith and trust in what is written and not to question it leaving prohecy as the witness to what shall come or has been done already and the prohecy is fullfilled and we are living in past times as vegetables.

The biggest self-fulfilling prophecy in the Bible is the resurrection of Israel. True, it didn't happen exactly as the Bible says it would, but Zionists and dispensationalists didn't have a Messiah to bring it about, so they made do with what they had.

A self-fulfilling prophesy is a command to the unconscious mind to cause events to occur seemingly outside of our control.

Example: "I just know I'm gonna get the axe tomorrow...I just
know it."
Meanwhile, the alarm mysteriously fails to go off, and
you are fired that very day for being habitually late to
work.

This is vastly different than the Bible, where it is agreed by great historical scholars with no religious bias that the prophesies contained therein are remarkably and historically accurate. Skeptical? I challenge you to read "Why I Believe" by D. James Kennedy.

You answered a question earlier called "To Christians"

And let me say you shouldn't have replied what you did, it seems you haven't even read the Christian bible. Christians are taught to love one another and not to hate other religions or races. The self-righteous Christians that do go against the bible and are NOT humble are the ones you all see. Your answer was 100% Incorrect, a true christian loves other people.

Your the perfect example of one who talks sh!t but doesn't know anything. What a loser you are huh?

A self-fulfilling prophecy is just a saying. You can wish and hope all you want and whatever it is could or could not happen. It goes with "Be careful what you wish for. You may just get it."

if you say you are going to die on your 30th birthday, and havent by the night before so you kill yourself the next morning, that is a self fulfilling prophecy. the bible is trying to prove its point i suppose and many people try to assure it is self fulfilling therefore proving this bit or that bit was right.
