What is the shame in asking your boss for a raise even if you are a Christian? If you feel you are over-worked and under-paid you can request it, but for those Christians who are always blessed God will work out a way for them to have a substantial amount of money, but it does say the God helps those who helps themselves.

Why couldn't they? The modern relationship of employer/employee didn't even exist when the Bible was written. Back then it was a master/servant relationship. Laborers sold themselves into slavery for a day at a time.

Not according to the Bible. "Be content with your wages" and such.

The Bible is pro-poverty! (How many have been scarred by the Christian teaching of mortification over the years?)
