What would you rather have and why?

thats true very few people have both! i rather have street smarts, book smarts will get you a degree and a good job, but only street smarts can you really survive

I don't think this is an accurate statement. You want to have both but when people say a person has one that means they are totally useless in the other.
If I had to choose I'd rather have commons sense. You can always overcome not being book smart through experience and application of skills. But being just book smart leaves people a lot of room to get over on you.

I would rather have enough common sense to get book smart. Because getting smart is moving ahead

Common sense. I've known a lot of people with book sense but no common sense. They're not all there, if you ask me.
Book sense is good to have but common sense will get you through life much easier.

I think common sense because book smarts only get you so far in life, and then what? You have to have common sense.

I prefer common sense, but I think I'm pretty book smart as well.

I think I have a little of both..I was pretty smart in school and my common sense still serves me well.

I have both so i dont have to choose! lol, but if i'd have to pick i would pick common sense bc you need that to go on thru life successfully and you can always just learn book smart, but you cant easily learn common sense!

that is so true. my wife only has book smart but her common sense is missing i do no that i have common sense. that maybe the reason her and i get alone so will it that YIN YEN thing.
