What was the point in Saab creating a 400hp 100% ethanol concept car that if made nobody could afford anyway? How is it going to benefit our environment if nobody could afford to drive it anyway? Why aren't the auto makers creating an affordable 100% ethanol car that regular people could drive? Why not make a 100% ethanol corolla or something? A common car that millions of people drive? That would make a difference.

it has been a said that if the united states were to someday switch over to E85 the era of muscle cars would come to a close. saab created the 400hp sports car to show the public what kind of potential E85 really has. engineers are currently developing a kit that will enable any car to be converted to an E85 powered machine.

Actually ethanol is highly inefficient. I hope they find some other alternative fuel source to please the hippies and actually help the vehicles power rating or fuel economy rating. Ethanol uses too much fuel to create less power. Therefore the cars get less MPG and don't have the same power as gas. I think our best alternative is to drill through a reindeer's head in Alaska and get our own oil!!!

Because this technology is very new still.
Cell phones used to cost 900 bux, remember????

Besides, that car is there to spark interest in consumers and companies to start investing their resources into hybrid cars.
Eventually price will come down.
