Are there any do's and don'ts? This is really hard when you want it to be just perfect. Please share your wisdom on this.

We wrote our own wedding vows....what i did was first include jsut a little bit of background info ( We met at tech and I knew form the moment I saw you I loved you etc) then how you feel about him and what you promise for the future....I told him that I was incomplete without him...look at some of your favorite love songs for some verses that say how you feel...as for the promise part I jsut said something along the lines of " I promise to hold your hand and walk beside you as we travel through lifes journey no matter what mountain we may have to cross..... You get the jist.....GOOD LUCK and CONGRATS!

to write your wedding vowels...

start with A then go on to a word with e, i, o, u, and sometimes y...

to write your wedding vows...

write from the heart about how your future spouse makes you feel and how you knew they were the one.

This is just my opinion, I would use the vows giving during a normal ceremony.

Vowels, well you could just say AEIOU or rearrange them.
EAUIO...something like that....

just write what you feel, and how you two are with each other, just make it personal
