No person or thing or experience is worth self harm or self injury if i were feeling like doing this to myself i would seek advice from my gp as i would need help for depression and maybe need to talk to a counsellor or psychotherapist who would be able to aid ease or alleviate these feelings overtime and help discuss the real reason i was feeling this way without patronising me or telling anyone else as it would be confidential.

Self Harm over a pop star!!!.
I have to ask is this the first time this "self harm " has occured i have a feeling it isnt. Self harm is usually a cry for help. Self harming is the result of a deeper underlying problem which is usually a cry for attention which is the result of a more serious psycological condition. The fact that you relate your self harm to a "pop star" is most probably because its easier than facing the actual cause which u find too painful to deal with.
To be useing a pop star as a possible mask for the real reason indicates that u are fairly young in years. This fact goes in your favour as far as self harm is concerned as it is always due to more serious cause. You need to see your doctor immediatately before this gets out of control as self harm is most commonly associated with mental illness of some form. Whatever the "Real" readon for ur self harm must be brought to ur doctors attention as soon as possible before it gets way out of hand.
Please do too not feel embarrassed or ashamed to seek medical advise as this is far more common than u may realize. Your doctor willl be sympathetic to your situation and should he feel the necessatiy will put u intouch with a professional who is more able to help you.
If however this is your first attempt at self harming yourself it will be far easier to avoid any further attempts of self half. Dont waste any time if you havent seen ur doctor already make an appointment to see them NOW.
May i offer u the all the very best both for now and your future.

Self mutilation or "cutting" is common but very serious. My 28 year old daughter is struggling with that. The illness requires medical attention. There is no shame in seeking mental health help.

Self-injury is a symptom of a problem. No matter what its over, its the sign that you have a larger problem and need help.
That said, what popstar?

It is a physical expression of mental pain at least thats what i understand it to be.
Some help expressing pain in a healthier way would be my suggestion along with lots of love and support.

you need to seek professional help to help you get over your cutting....
i highly reccommend dialectical behavioral therapy created by Marsha Linehan... just google her or DBT and lots of information will come up..... it helps you live a better happier life so you don't want to cut... it teaches you distress tolerance skills and mindfulness...
now...it can be hard to find a DBT therapist... so if you can't find one then still please go get professional help from a psychiatrist and a therapist....
