wait, wait. My asking of this question doesn't mean that I don't believe in God or anything, I just don't see the point of people asking since they would not get a true answer anyway.

*clap clap clap* THANK YOU! Religion is the worst thing EVER. No one actually knows if it exists or not. Maybe Yahoo should just ban that topic being discussed on here because it just causes arguments.

The very fact you are asking this question proves that he exist. Anyway, I can try and make you understand. Why do you call your friend dead who just a minute ago alive and kicking in flesh and blood. The same body with all the flesh and blood in tact next to you but you call him dead. What is now missing ?. More,
how big is the universe and who created it ? Can you explain.
How such a tiny mosquito can take out the blood from you body and fly away without you knowing anything about it. Can you create such a creature ? Just ponder and you will get the answer. Good luck.

In a few years time as the technology advances and new things are found people will not only stop asking whether God exists, but will laugh at their ancestors who did .

I was like you at one time. I didn't know if there was a God or not. And if there was a God I didn't know whether He was good or bad. But deep inside I believe I really knew there was a God, I just was listening to the wrong voice (Satan). Yes he's real too. God will reveal Himself to you if you really want to know Him. Repent of your sins. Read His Word. James 4:6-8 is something good to read. Seek Him with all of your heart and you'll find Him. He just wants to know that you really want Him to come into your life and make all the difference.

People are always going to ask that question. We have been asking it since the beginning theories of God existed.

Perhaps one of the most basic statements of how God has revealed Himself to man is found in Hebrews 1:1-2: "In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets; but in these last days He has spoken to us by a Son."

This passage evinces several important things about God's communication to man. First, God's message comes in many various forms. Second, that message is also mediated by human beings. This means that the divine Word comes to us in a human vehicle. Even Jesus Christ, the divine Son, was Himself in the flesh when He gave many of His teachings; furthermore, those teachings were not written down by Him but by His human followers.

Some further points are important to understand in setting the stage for proper biblical understanding. Third, no human vehicle is fully adequate to convey the fullness of God's message. Human language is inadequate to express what can be discerned in its complete spiritual sense only by means of the Holy Spirit. There is also the problem of transmission of the text; this is done by human beings and subject to human error. The problem of understanding ancient languages which have changed structure and meaning through the ages or have even ceased to be used as a living form of communication adds a further difficulty.

Fourth, the message of the Bible must speak to all people in every age. Yet society changes, culture modifies, and each Christian finds himself living in a particular situation which does not exactly fit that of the original writers of the Bible. Christians do not live in the Old Testament theocracy of ancient Israel with autonomous control of a particular territory. Nor do they live in the New Testament world of Greco-Roman culture. Rather, Christians have lived in radically different environments down through the centuries, from Cologne in the Middle Ages to London in the 17th century to Los Angeles in the nuclear age. Therefore, there is always a certain "communication or generation gap" between the written word and the later reader.

Fifth. God has deliberately hidden much of His important truth from mankind so that the full progression, and eventually resolution, of human history would proceed according to God's timetable. As a result it is not man's fault that he doesn't understand the Bible. Even the prophets of old didn't always grasp the meaning of their own biblical statements (e.g. Dan. 12:8); and they surely didn't comprehend the fullness of the mystery of the purpose of human life (Matt. 13:17; Eph.3:4-5). Jesus Himself spoke in parables so that the common people would not understand what He was saying (Matt. 13:10-11); He was teaching His disciples not the masses (v. 10-1 7), since God's plan did not yet call for the vast majority of people to be called and converted.

Many people know, because they have a relationship with Him now.

Other people have an emptiness (a longing) and they feel a pull to know if Jesus is what is missing, and so they are seeking to find the truth. All they need to do is ask Him to fill their emptiness.

I know for sure without a doubt, because I know how he changed my life. No human could ever do what he's done for me in my life. You can't blame it on luck or coincidence either. Plus, think of one other logical explanation as to how we all got here. Personally, I know I'm not related to the fish and monkeys in the zoo.

In as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd
