If the Easter Bunny had it's roots in pagan religions which christians condemned as evil, why is the Easter Bunny so accepted in Christianity? Why do we celebrate easter with this heathen bunny?

Just because someone else that I disagree with does something does not mean that I disagree with everything that they do. Lots of criminals and rapists have driver's licenses, but I'm not going to quit driving because of that.

So with that, the "Easter Bunny" has come to be a fun thing that involves giving candy to kids and having egg hunts and stuff. There's no real "religious" or "theological" implications from the Easter Bunny, so I'm ok with it.

Because most people don't know that the Easter Bunny is from the pagan religions. It's odd but a lot of the symbols of christianity are from pagan religions. I don't really think that any religion should deem another as evil...it's not their place to say so. Plus, I think that was done a long time ago. I don't like to view any religion as evil, because at least it is a religion. I think some are a little more healthy for civilization than others, but none are "evil."

Not all Christians accept the Easter bunny. I personally have nothing to do with it at Easter because I want my children to understand the awesome importance of what happened on Easter, and that it has nothing to do with a fat bunny and eggs.

Not all Christians celebrate the Easter Bunny. Some of us still celebrate Christ's ressurection from the dead.

I'm a Christian and I don't accept the easter bunny or santa clause. I think think their just there to distract people from the true meaning of Easter and Christmas (birth, death, and resurrection of Christ)

When Christianity was in its ascendency, burning all the pagan temples, killing their priests and priestesses, burning all of their profane literature (mathematics, medicine, engineering, philosophy, astronomy, etc.), and forcing all of the country folk to conform to christianity in Borg-like fashion ("You will be assimilated. Resistence is futile.), they realized that they needed to do something to make the changeover less tramatic for them. So, since Christianity was entirely a made-up religion anyway, they had no problem with incorporating the Pagan beliefs and traditions of the populace into Christianity (feasts, festivals, season-change celebrations, etc.) and re-naming them under a christian motif. That way, the people could continue to doing the things they were accustomed to doing... and the new paradigm would have several generations to take hold, with minimum trauma. (Traditions were very important to people in those times... therre were the only bright spots in lives that were, for the most part, nasty, brutish, and short. Moreso, after they fell into the clutches of Christianity.)

It worked... and so Christians celebrate what are mostly Pagan holidays... whitewashed... with a Christian label stamped upon them.

Actually, I thought it was more the Easter Egg that Christians focused on. It is a symbol of new life. The bunny is just so you can have a cadbury egg in your basket, silly!

It means that you "hate" "The Snow-white"and "Cinderella"?Cause are the same pretty things like Easter bunny,Santa Claus. Those things are make ours life more "delicious" and make us to "forget" a little time "the big Grey moments"in our lifes. And the simple fact that we believe in this, isn't means then we are less christians.

Your soul is for sale. You can sell it to the man in the sky or the man in the underworld.

Personally, I'm holding out for a third option.

That is true. Many people though are not serious about knowing and keeping their religion (Christianity).
