your cat should be fine.... just let him rest... . for awhile he may limp to stay off of it but eventually the pain will go away and he will be back to normal....

i know this because my cat actually split two of his claws

I would bandage it up, just so it doesn't get infected (hello, litter box!) but other than that, your cat should be just fine. You just don't want any litter to get in there. Once my cat got some litter in his paws after a declaw and his paws got 3 times their normal size because of inflammation and infection. It was really horrible. Not saying that's going to happen here, but boy their paws are touchy. Be careful.

delute peroxide 50/50 and put it on the cut and neosporin and bandage it up. check it from time to time and make sure theres no infection, you might want to call your vet and tell them what is going on they might be able to give you some advice on what else you can do for him.

Keep an eye on it. Make sure it heals. Keep it clean. He should be fine.

you could rub mycatracin or bacitracin on it, but it should heal on its own, if he limps very long i would go to a vet
