Typically, after having teeth pulled, the pain is primarily from the inflammation that takes place... it throbs... ugh... and Dentists typically put the patient on some fairly stong painkillers... typically with Codeine in them. Codeine can sometimes make a patient feel nauseous.

So... with that in mind... soft foods, that don't have to be chewed TOO much (avoiding the sensitive swollen area) that isn't too hot.

Cold food is welcomed usually, because it helps with the inflammation.

So... Nothing too spicy (Because of the codeine) ... and nothing too hard, because of the sensitivity)... and nothing too hot (because of the inflammation) ...

Apple Sauce. Soup that's been cooled. Soft Breads. Mashed Potatoes.

If you want to go far stronger fare (I had 4 hot dogs after mine were pulled) make sure that he cuts them up into much smaller pieces than he normally would... when you've had dental surgery, you tend to favor the teeth and compensate by not chewing as much, which will upset your stomach.

Good luck!

6 wisdom teeth? don't you mean 4??? easy mistake but anyway I'd probably give him some soup, and a nice milkshake, and maybe some jelly... he'll be okay after a while, least he won't be in pain. I know how it feels, those wisdom teeth are better gone!!! lol

I enjoyed instant garlic mashed potatoes for several days following the surgery that is until I graduated up to Wendy's french fries. Do not give him a straw and make sure he doesn't slurp things off spoons or other dinning utensils, this could cause the nasty condition called "dry socket" which is even more painful than the surgery itself!

I in simple terms have been given mine pulled on friday and you particularly wont sense like ingesting lots in any respect the 1st few days. Scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes. I made soup and in simple terms placed it in a blender to puree it. I additionally placed some cottage cheese and canned peaches in the blender to make it a similar consistency of infant nutrients. DRINK guarantees ! those have been my ideal buds the previous 2 days as a results of fact that i did not have an urge for nutrients on fri or sat

I ate a cheeseburger the night I had all mine taken out... and two of those were impacted. It never really hurt at all. Plus Darvoset... yum!

So it all depends.

I would avoid ice cream... might cause a headache with the nerves exposed. But soup and jello, maybe stuffing, or other soft foods.

I don't think you'll have the money to buy any food after the dentist tricked you into pulling 2 teeth that doesn't exist.

I kid...eat some apple sauce, get some Jamba Juice, etc.
