Hmm, if you wanna get rid of the sweet craving for good, there is a technique that hypnotists use.
First, imagine your favourite sweet food. A plate of chocolate for example. Now imagine you're eating that plate of chocolate, imagine the tastes and sensation of the chocolate melting in your mouth. Now, clear that image and imagine a food you hate, I mean *really* hate. If you like most foods, imagine what you'd least like to eat - vomit or hair or some such thing. Now, mentally mix in this horrible thing in with your plate of chocolate. Imagine you're eating this plate, imagine the smell of what you're eating mixed with the smell of chocolate, imagine the taste and sensation until you start feeling physically sick. Do this once a day and you should feel less like eating that food. I did it for a while and it sorta worked, I did eat less chocolate, but I may just have been more motivated!
Otherwise foods such as fruit are great, dried mango and raisins and such cos they're sweet. Try to get ones that haven't had loads of sugar added like at a health food shop.
Good luck getting to your ideal weight!

My girlfriend and I just stumbled across this one, and it suprisingly tastes really good, so good you wouldnt know it was healthy: (all in a blender) One scoop of GNC Banana Protein, Fresh Banana, 1 3/4 to 2 cups milk, and a dash of cinamon. Just Blend! It is preferred to fill a plastic drink container all the way up with Ice, then shake it up, because it needs to be real cold. If you blend the ice with it it may water down. But this gets you 20g of protein on top of the protein in the milk, and all the vitamins from the fruit!

Fruit is the best thing you can nibble on to satisfy the sweet cravings. Fresh fruit like grapes, apples and peaches would be great, but also dried fruit is fantastic. Raisins, sultanas, prunes and apricots are great because the are naturally sweet and also the nutrient levels are higher than before they were dried.

Cut out the diet drinks and products, the low cal ingredient is called ASPARTAME, it has very little in terms of calorific value but the chemical is a vey toxic nerve poisen that makes you crave sweet things.
Google it and you will know why the companies that produce have banned it use in their office canteens worldwide(!).

Try dried fruits, but not too many of them. You can get dried pineapple, banana, mango, papaya, not just raisins and apricots. They are high in natural sugars, and while they'll stave off your sugar craving, they do count as calories! My sister also swears by sunflower seeds - she keeps a packet in her desk and nibbles on them during the day.
Well done on the diet!

I love dried dates, they are not calorie free but loads better for you than chocolate! If you whizz them in a blender with some nuts & other fruit, squash them into a tin & put in the fridge for an hour it's almost like a sticky fudge brownie but all natural & guilt free! Delicious!
