There is nothing better then living someplace where they speak English. By using it everyday and hearing the sound, that is the best tool.
Another helpful item is to watch some American, Canadian or English television shows. If you dont have any shown on your televisions, go to Amazon, EBay or other source and get a season of a television show on DVD. Newscasts are also good tools - since the announcers tend to speak with a limited regional accent.
Hearing how people speak and listening to the sound of English is so important. Words that begin with the letter H are tell tale signs - many non native speakers have a hard time with this letter. Instead of saying "Hello", they will say eh-he-llo- Happiness becomes eh-happiness
Th is another problem dipthong...try to listen to how people say these words. Also listen to the sound of vowels.
This is not something that comes overnight - but with a lot of practice, listening and patience.
