Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It is a mental state that affects people who have witnessed or been involved with traumatic and life altering events.
It used to be called shell shock when the soldiers came home from ww2.
It is not a joke. It is a really bad thing to have that can affect every area of your life.
I have it from witnessing my brothers murder at the age of 3.

Post traumatic stress disorder.
Sometimes after going through a traumatic event people re-experience this event over and over. This happens when they are set of by "triggers". triggers can be smells, sounds etc. that remind them of the event. It is an unconscious reminder. They don't realize they are reacting to it until they are in an anxiety state or depression kicks in.
One needs therapy and sometimes meds to help them with this...It is hard to deal with.
I suffer from this....

It's what happens to you after something horrible occurs. If you go to war and have to kill, there are lingering mental effects.
