She's been to the vet to check for bladder infections, behavioral issues, etc. Nope. And we've tried to relate it to certain events (when we go out, or if her litter hasn't been changed in a day) and it's just at random times and rarely in the same spot. We've even caught her doing it right in front of us. I have no idea what this could be.
Any suggestions?

woman cats quite often urinate to mark the territory and entice male cats. She commonly does that on the different hand than spraying. Having her spayed will might desire to quit that habit (the marking). If she will have the skill to get in the habit of urinating exterior a litterbox it particularly is lots tougher to distinction that.

many animals mark thier territory this way. Do other animals come to visit often which might make her feel that she has to mark her space? Was she born wild or have wild parents? I believe the term is feral. I heard that if they have black gums it means thier from feral blood. Now domesticated but still have some of those i live outside traits. like marking territory and stuff.

I had a cat who wouldn't use her litter box unless you cleaned it every time she used it. Of course I couldn't be there all the time to clean up after her, so I solved it by putting 2 litter boxes in my house in different locations. If one was dirty, she would use the other instead of the couch, or my bed, or the rug, etc.

Have you seen any other cats roaming close to your house? My sister's siamese started doing this when the neighbors got a cat. It was a territorial thing. She could never get her to stop and had to put her outside. I hope you have better luck!

females mark their territory as well as males. my neighbor has a spadded female that comes and marks all over my porch and it stinks. i would have never guessed that females could spray, much less being fixed and able to. they make a spray for houses that sends your cat signals saying "dont spray here". look for it in Passpets or Pets Supplies Plus... not too sure if wally world sells it.
