I ask because in many branchs of Christianity, you must be baptised to be a pure soul. Are you saying that babies and children aren't pure? Because I think they are the most pure humans on this earth. So basically, if Jesus died so your soul would be clean why isn't it clean.

Fine, I think I need to refine my question. To get into heaven you need salvation, right? And to have salvation you need to be baptised. And if a baby dies before being baptised, then they go to hell because they don't go to heaven. And yet they are the most pure beings on earth. How do you justify that and still call your religion the most loving?

We are all born into sin.

Oh, sure, babies are the most pure humans on this earth! I don't question that at all. Just that there is a hair, a fraction, a teenie-weenie bit of sin that is born in with us and WHAMMO that's too much to keep us from being perfect.

Yes, yes, yes! Jesus died for our sins! But salvation is a gift that must be accepted, not something that is assigned for us. We have to want it and desire it. If we refuse salvation, God will honor that.

According to Christian belief, Adam and Eve caused all human souls to be born stained. Baptism removes that stain, but past this point, sin further taints the soul. Because pretty much nobody is going to coincidentally die just after they were baptised (and clean), before Jesus, it is said, everyone went to hell (although the not-completely-evil people were held safe from the fire in "Abraham's bosom").

Through Jesus, people can go to heaven even though their souls are not completely clean. That's what Jesus died for.

Purity and salvation are two different things. Babies and children may be pure of heart, but in order to receive salvation for the sins that ALL MEN (and women) are born into as a result of the original sin by Adam and Eve, ALL MEN (and women) - including babies and children - must ask for forgiveness for their sins. Also, while babies and children may seem completely innocent, they do sin - just not in the most overt ways like adults do. So, in fact, they still require forgiveness for their sins and must seek eternal salvation by believing that Jesus died for their sins.

Jesus died for sins is a christian concept & it doesn't make any sense. I can't understand it when somebody say that someone died 4 a sin(pay a price with his own life) yet, there is still sins in its highest level. It does't make sense. Nobody is a sinner but expiriences each and everyone of us go through in life determins how his life would be tomorrow. Soul, which is immortal always come back to pay & collect from its spiritual account.(new born baby). Soul is always a pure entity.

Being baptised does not make you "pure". Only a relationship with Jesus can do that.
Being Baptised in Church is formally and publicly announcing you have accepted Christ.
A baby and a child are pure, in the respect of not knowing consequences. They might know the consequence of lying means punishment, but they have no idea of what going to hell to means.
When Jesus went to the Cross for you and me, He gave us the choice to accept or reject Him.
A choice that WE must make. Once we make that choice to accept Him, His sacrifice/blood makes us clean.
And if a person chooses not to make that choice, they have made the choice to reject the one who gave His life for theirs. It's really very beautiful and heart stopping when you stop and think about it.

I believe the that little baby and the lord Jesus Christ is not the blame. But the blame is that of L the Devil who was always tampering with the work of the load. The Innocent baby's future would have grown to do the work of the devil . Or the Good of God. So God brings the baby more closer to him that his innocents not be corrupted. Jesus Christ is the light of a true way of life.. And a reminder and traffic police in which direction a uncorrupted and good person should go

If we could be born pure, Jesus would not have had to die for our sins.

Look at it like this, God created everything. He gave it all to Adam. Lucifer came up with a plan - if he could get Adam to be subservient to him, he would de-facto become God. So Lucifer beguiled the woman Adam loved, and rather than lose her - Adam joined her in disobedience to God. Thusly Satan became the god of this world, and the rightful owner of all the offspring of the original couple. Sin separates us from God. Separation from God is death. Through a man's sin, death entered the world. Because of sin, Satan has the legal right to sentence us all to death. The only way to fix it was for the One who started the whole project to come, live sinlessly, and unjustly suffer death. When Satan inflicted death on the sinless person of Jesus, he broke his contract concerning sin and death, and gave Jesus the right to redeem whomever He saw fit. And as the Bible says He is not willing that any should perish, I don't imagine any babies are condemned to Hell.

It's just Christian rhetoric........babies are born perfect, they are the most perfect humans on earth. It's yet another control tactic that pressures parents into baptising their children for fear if they don't their souls won't go to heaven. Control & fear.......

We are born unpure because Adam and Eve sinned when they ate the apple from the tree of wisdom or whatever it was called. This is called original sin. Being baptized gets rid of original sin.

It is impossible for babies or children to have sin if they didt know how to sin. sin is something that we are destined to do but because of Adam and Eva sins. but we are not born into it and baptism is symbolism of being cleansed by Jesus for our sins but it wont save anyone. You must first believe in Jesus and understand what he did and a baby or child cant comprehend this.
