And if you have has you also read Beyond The Da Vinci Code the book that solves the Mystery by Rene Chandelle?
I have just brought the book Beyond The Da Vinci Code I am up to the first chapter and find it so fascinating after seeing a program about it on the History Channel!
I would recommend if you have read The Da Vinci Code that you also check out Beyond The Da Vinci Code as well.

Excellent book and decent film. You should stop reading The DaVinci Code immediately! First read the pre-quel (also by Dan Brown) called Angels and Demons. The protagonist is the same but the story in Angels and Demons takes place before the events in The DaVinci Code. When you are done with Angels and Demons, then pick up The DaVinci Code where you left off..

Trust me, you won't be sorry. These 2 books are on the current bestseller lists... Very popular.

The book was great....read Angels and Demons also by Dan Brown. It's the prequel to The Da Vinci Code.

I read the book and was unimpressed with the author's 'style' (if that's what you want to call it) of writing. His characters spent so much time daydreaming and had to be "pulled back" into reality so much, it got well, boring. And his method of leaving the reader hanging at the end of every chapter was like watching soap opera's on Friday lol. I found myself forcing myself to read through to the end, only because I hate to judge a book unless I've completely read it.

Oh, and to the poster who said that Dan Brown says it's fiction, that's not exactly true. He says in the author's note at the beginning that all of the historical facts are true. Even I, a mere housewife in Houston, was able to see flaws with his 'facts'.

About the only thing I learned from the whole DaVinci Code experience was that publishers are extremely unscrupulous in their methods of promoting a book.

Great book, awesome movie as well, though they are different. Liked Brown's Angels and Demons better, though. Yes, I intend to check out the auxillary books as well. Just remember, it's fiction!

Repeat after me:
This book is Fiction.
Dan Brown calls it fiction
Dan Brown's facts are fiction.

Now you can enjoy it for what it is a Fiction.
