GHD... I've spent a lot of money on crappy straightners, but when I coughed up the $300 for my GHD it was one of the best things I've ever done, and my hairs in better condition than it was before!!
Lissa... I've tried the cheaper ones and I mean the real cheap and nasty ones, it took me hours to do my hair and it even burnt my hair. THATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CHEAP ONE'S AND THE EXPENSIVE.
Ionic cermamic straightners like the GHD are truly worth the money, I've had mine for nearly 18months and its still as good as the day I bought it--- AGAIN another difference between the cheap and expensive ones!

There are tons of straighteners out there, from really cheap to really expensive. What you need to look for is one that is ceramic, and gets to atleast 300 degrees. A cheaper one that has both of those will work just as good as an expensive one.

Ignore Lissa for a start - 300 degrees is WAY too hot!
210 max!
KODO are the same standard (personally i think better) than GHD
They cost £49.95 from the link below

Back when I had my long hair, I used some Conair Ceramic Hair Straightner, and it did pretty good, but then I got sick of using it, so I buzzed my head.
