If all the achievements of scientists were wiped out tomorrow, there would be no doctors but witch doctors, no transport faster than horses, no computers, no printed books, no agriculture beyond subsistence peasant farming. If all the achievements of theologians were wiped out tomorrow, would anyone notice the smallest difference?

You poor, poor person.

YES we would notice a difference! A significant number of the hospitals in the world are religious-based. A large number of private welfare programs are religious-based. A great number of works of art are religious based. Almost all of our social events are formed around religion. Entire towns and even countries were formed on the basis of certain religions.

And then there'd be no Christmas this year. Many, many retailers live and die from the Christmas holiday sales. Of course, since we lost all technology in your example too that probably wouldn't matter...

"wiping out" all these achievements would turn our world upside down.

The major problem with your question is you seperate theologions from scientist and inventors. If you just made the slightest effort you will notice that a great deal of the great scientists and inventors did believe in God and some degree of theology. In your statement you also make the assumption that all great advances only or mostly have come from atheist.

Another point to consider. Advances does not stop humanity from whipping itself out. Science might have invented the gun but theology is what has set the rules to keep people from blowing each others brains out.

Other advancements of theology by the way:

Most of the great schools of science in Europe started off as religious establishments.

Most of the worlds historically great art work and architecture came from religious men.

Most of the moral and constitutional laws of the western nations have a theological origin.

Atheist are very good at creating bad questions.

Our God has a way of working such thing out. If Adam are Moses were alive they would definitely tell you how that worked. Even the Tablets from the Ten Commandments were not man made but could be read be man.

Excellent point!!!!!!!! And no, the world in general wouldn't notice it... they would be too busy with their computers, etc. to bother with it.

And the 10 Commandments were written by man... (someone needs to read the bible again)... moses destroyed the first set, then had Aaron to write the second............

Some would notice the difference but not all. It depends upon what you base your life around.
