No, I don't think that intuition is a bad thing, Buddhism or not. A lot of time, intuition is our minds piecing together information on a subconscious level that emerges without conscious reason. There's nothing wrong with making decisions based on anything like that.

Religion and institutionalization of religion are two separate things. Religion is vivid and pure in its original form but institution in religion gives birth to many evils. Question is not of Buddhism or any other religion.
