http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sykes-Picot_Agreement check out this for a basic summary of why there is so much trouble. the general jist is that during WW1 the allies divided up the middle east between themselves using a ruler not giving any credence to race, religion or language. Its noted that whilst Churchill was dividing Jordan he hiccuped causing a not so streight edge on its eastern border (http://www.alstewart.com/history/league.htm) then you have the Balfour declaration where the british sort of agreed that the jews should have a homeland where palestine was. it all snowballed from there especially after ww2 Israel was created in 1948. that is where the trouble stems from. And America's interest is in the oil, and the jewish lobby. thats why they donate $2.4billion dollars in "security assistance" alone to Israel. and why they share there weapons with Saudi Arabia, and protected Kuwait in 1991 gulf war. sorry for the history lesson but you did ask

You just answered your own question. We are all a bit different from other people, and that scares some people so much that they are quite happy to exterminate anyone not exactly like themselves. But it isn't limited to the world today. The middle east has been in turmoil for a long time. Every other country throws at least the occasional tantrum, usually in order to take its citizen's minds off their troubles at home.

Evolution. I think that our world is constantly going through growing pains. Then again troop, we could be evolving into another world war which I would be proud to support you in. If only I could serve beside you, which is my ultimate wish. I'm 43 years old and have served through the cold war era and expected that the Russians would cause global destruction. Guess I was wrong, But with the current events, I'd rather be supporting or backing you up!

A lot of the differences in this world today is to with religion. So many people belive one thing and others belive another and this can cause arguements which makes people take sides on a lot of issues, this is why there are so many different religions.
Another difference is in teenagers, all the different groups and children feel they have to be part of one group or the other to fit in, i mean you have 'chavs', 'skaters', 'goffs' and many more, all these dress and act differently which makes people different.
Fashion as well makes people different makes them feel they have to dress with whats in even if they don't like it so they fit in.
Anything you can think of can make people look, act adn feel different to all different things in life. Hope this has answered your question or got you somewhere.

Because of manmade religious bullshit, not to mention greed, corruption and the fact mankind has a need for being self destructive...also the fact that the human race has as much get up and go as a turtle. if we just pulled our fingers out and revoloutionized against our own sick governments and the corporations destroying this world..then I guess things would be alot better, not to mention destroy all religious institutions and if you wanna worship God thats cool and if you don't thats ok tooo
