Follow-on question from my query on dinosaurs in creationism. How old do creationists think the old is, and how do you arrive at the figure? Is there a more sophisticated response to scientists who talk of the earth being millions of years old than 'you're wrong'?

The bones found that give credibility to the human evolution theory are million year old pieces of rock. They are assembled in a hap hazard fashion by biased people looking to prove their own theory. Assumptions, and arranged rocks.

Creationist believe in devine intervention. This is the very foundation of creation beliefs. There is no evidence to hold in your hand, but faith.

You have faith too. You put your faith in science. You don't understand anything they have done, however they say they have proven it. You choose to believe them.

EarthAngel, You don't even know what you are talking about. Speak on your own behalf.

Actually the Catholic Church gave rise to the Big Bang Theory.

You are all seeing this 6000 years and 6 days thing totally wrong. God is not bound by any rules.

According to creationists the earth is about 6,000 years old.. this was a wild guess by a group of tribal men sitting around a camp fire and randomly guessing the age of the earth. According to creationists this is creditable proof but find loop holes in the Big bang theory and claim that it is flawed. (HUH?)

Why does or not it particularly is counted? And if it does, why might God create 10% of all animals as being beetles (some with very fairly expert, very unusual ecological jobs)? jointly as I comprehend your good judgment, i don't comprehend it particularly is practicality. it sort of looks such as you are trying to stress the technological know-how of Earth to conform to the historic past interior of a e book. i don't comprehend why a divine being might create an Earth that happens to in good shape in the time frames of a e book written Centuries after its creation (on the very earliest). additionally, i'm not sure that Adam and Eve might ensue under a well-known-day actual examination as being chronologically 30 years previous. Take case in point the actual incontrovertible fact that the 1st poop that a infant has would not stink. it particularly is as a results of fact the scent comes from fermenting that happens in the physique from undigested cloth that's not handed. So, if Adam and Eve have been in elementary terms an afternoon previous, they'd not have had time to collect cloth of their digestive equipment that should reason their, nicely, poop to stink. till God have been to pass so a great way as to grant them a used digestive equipment to tournament their actual age. correlation would not recommend causality

well, Jesus' first miracle was to create wine from water. and we all know that in the natural, wine takes a long time to come into being (grapes have to ferment, etc). and the master of the wedding banquet in Cana said that it was good wine... so it possibly had the flavour and body of a wine of "good vintage". meaning that jesus had just created something of apparent age.
why couldn't it have been the same for the creation of the earth? could God not have created the earth with apparent age, such that it would seem to be older than it actually is?
just a thought.

10,000-6,000 Years.

They come to this conclusion in several ways.(all of them have been disproven)
1. The bible says so.
2. Radioactive dating is inaccurate. (Lie)
3. Some guy found a human footprint beside a dino foot print. (Hoax)
4. God made everything look old. (shot in the dark)
5. Speed of light is inconsistant. (Lie)
6. They measure things that vary and say they remain consistant. I.E. moon moving away/amount of salt in oceans (Just bad science)
7. Did I say the bible says so?
8. Blah! Blah! Blah! (This is when I stop listening)
9. Your going to hell! (That is when this Marine kicks the snot out of them.)
