one of those little chapels in Las Vegas regarded as a proper, legal marriage in the UK?

As long as you get a marriage license. In Vegas I believe they have a 24 hour county clerks' office open so that you can get your marriage license at any time of day. If you contact the little chapels I'm sure they will be able to tell you exactly where to go and what to do to make it official. Good luck!

Since it's a legally binding marriage in the USA, I'm fairly certain it's legally binding in the UK.

as far as i know yes.....altho my daughter got married in thailand at the beginning of this year and when they came back to uk they had to get the marriage recognised officially.
