Sure! Why not? Do it while you're still young and not trapped in a going no-where profession! Do something you love!

I've just finished uni and I'm 28 so I'm mow looking for a new career too. It's never to late to try something new and if all else fails you've still got all the experience in your current profession so you could go back to that! Good luck in what ever you decide to do!!

Depending on what you want to start over as!!!
In this day and age - with so many young successful and driven people - getting a job is harder than ever - particularly if you're starting in a complete new line of business.
My advice to you is investigate into the availability of jobs that you are interested in - and make sure you have something lined up before you leave your current profession
Good luck!

I would say a resounding Yes! I retrained from English teaching to Molecular Genetics Research in late 20s-early 30s. Second year of a doctorate now (35) and don't regret a sausage of it!

Of course. You may have to make personal and some financial sacrifices while you retrain for something different... but of course its possible to start all over again.

I have two friends who did exactly this... one worked as a successful marketing executive for a well known Mobile phone company here in the UK and left to retrain as a GP.....

The other left a high powered IT job in the city to retrain as a midwife and is nearing the end of her course now.

Anything is possible.

You only get one life on this Earth, if you would rather be doing something else, do it. Do it before you get hooked into the mortgage, marriage kids thing, and if you're already there, ask your spouse this question, you will need a lot of support. My sister trained and worked for years as a teacher, in her mid thirties she acquired a passion for law and re-trained as a barrister. She has enjoyed her career immensly and is a brilliant and powerful advocate with her own chambers. Go for it.

yes me too and been thinking for a while about changing.

The only problem is the drop in income. Now I have kids and responsibilities etc cant really afford a large drop. So becomes more an issue of doing both at once.

If you really want to you will - if not it may just be a case of the grass is greener.
