Yes I would accept her just as she is. She is your daughter and she is going to grow up an move out someday. You want to stay in touch and be "happy" to see each other with out the tensions of trying to change her. She is her own person by herself. And if she has told you at this young age. You have raised a very self confident girl which should get her a step ahead in the world today.

Being gay is not something you can encourage or discourage -it's not a personal 'choice' just as being straight isn't chosen - you just are. A lot of kids have doubts at that age but if she's sure she's gay then you have to accept it and support her.

its not a question of encouraging her but rather supporting her so there is somewhere that she can feel safe and be loved for who she its going to be hard enough for her out in the world as it is. She'll need somewhere to come home to, its good that she was able to tell you and isnt sneaking/lieing to you. Respect her for that as it must have taken a lot of courage to do so take care =)

Being Gay is still not socially acceptable in most part of the world. She is young so you should try to make her understand the consequences which she would face.

You don't need to encourage it but you should be supporting of her decision, it is after all her life and at least by supporting it she will have someone caring to talk to if a relationship breaks down.

Just love her. Be her support system, no matter what she decides. If she truly is gay, life is going to be fairly tough on her. Let her know you'll always be there. If she's just going through a phase, then she'll outgrow it.

she is young and you should make sure she is wise, my girlfriend parents are gay(lesbians) and they can be nuts at times. treat her like you would if she was striaght, but be careful for drama that might come her way, because girl that were gay at my school when i was young bitched, excuse my language. but they loved dramma and proven to be worse than guys.

She has already chosen her own path; don't place obstacles in it, support her, advise her and love her.
