There's also something psychological going on. It's a bit strange, but some people, when they go on a "diet", automatically feel the need to eat and to eat more, regardless of the diet pills. The mind is an amazing thing. It's as if you suddenly think.. oh oh.. deprivation .. and crave food and then end up overeating, whereas if they didn't go on a diet, that wouldn't happen. There's suddenly an appetite there out of the blue for anything.
Forget the weight loss pills. They're obviously not working for you. In my opinion, you need to change the way you think about food, period. Think of it as simply wanting to get healthy (where weight loss is sort of the by-product). I don't know what kind of an "eater" you are (whether it's obsessive, i.e. once you start you can't stop; whether it's wandering i.e. you have to nibble on something all day, or some other type), therefore it's hard to suggest something for you. Do a little soul searching as to your eating habits. Once you figure out what it is that makes you want to eat, you're on your way to changing it. By the way, sugar has addictive properties. If you lay off sugar for a few days, the craving for it will lessen.
Re the exercises. There are plenty of exercises you can do, despite your bad back. Consider talking to your physical therapist to make some suggestions. Obviously standard routines are not the way to go. What you can do, without straining your back are lower weight, high rep, arm exercises in lieu of aerobics. By the way, the stronger your ab muscles, the less strain there is on your back.. something to keep in mind.

To be able to reduce weight, your body has to believe that everything around it is good and well. Especially, that there will be no famine in the forseeable future. Every time you start dieting, with or without help of "different products", the body endures it for a while and then cries out
"Enough, as soon as I see some food, any food, around, I'll eat it as fast as I can"
It has happened to all of us: after a "successful" diet of losing tons of kilograms or pounds, we just eat it all back and more. So, direct starvation is not the way to go. One way to gain more information would be to look at your natal chart (astrology!) and see where the second, sixth and tenth houses fall -- they determine what you eat, how you prepare it and what will the body do with it.
And let me admit that there would many other ways, everyone is individual, but the more natural food you eat the better, as a rule.
You should do well to check your hormonal status. It may well be that your problem is in hormonal sphere rather than in purely nutritional. If your thyroid is sluggish, then it doesn't matter what you eat and what you take as supplements, you will continue to gain weight. Also, you will have lots of water around the body if your estrogen levels are not appropriate... and so on.
Emotions can also store on the body as additional weight. You can try to eliminate the wrong emotions through therapies such as Emotional Freedom Techniques and Bach Flower Remedies.
If you are into Reiki, you can give Reiki to the food before you eat it, so at least energetically, it will be improved.
In any case, just by buying this or that or just by applying one or more of these therapies will not do you any good if your overall life doesn't change. Ideally, you should become so busy reaching your life vision and intermediate goals that you forget about the food completely and just eat it along. The only way to avoid addiction is to never think about!

I attempt this too each once in awhile. I recommend no longer because i imagine that is a tremendous theory, it is only a subject matter I surely have. even as i'm eating nicely i'm round 1300 cals, then immediately some thing insects me about my body then i'm right down to four hundred or so. And yeah people tell me it isn't any longer good for me, and that i visit income weight and that i comprehend that, yet like I stated i visit't only substitute that actual. in any case I surely see the placed on on my metabolism when I start up eating accurate again. Diet pills dont work when you are pounding twinkies by the dozens. You have to diet then take the pills.
Also you have to excersize.
