My Kittin ( about 5 months ) whenever we bring him outside he runs to the pavement from the grass and starts to lick the pavement

Now some people call him serously ill...is this true?

HE hasnt been licking anything from under cars and no dead animals have been there he is just giving it like 5-10 licks then HE litelerly HOPS back to the grass

idk thats really weird, maybe the pavement fasinates him, I use to have a cat that kicked itself in the head to entertain itself =)

I guess you provide him clean water daily? Is the pavement close to your hose? He may be missing some element in his diet. Or he is just being a clown! Keep an eye on his water intake and provide grass for him to eat. It would not hurt to phone the vet regarding his diet - fresh meat is good, canned food isn't. Kitten dry food is excellent it has all the things a little fellow needs especially calcium. Happy cat days!

Make sure she isn't' licking something that came from under a car or equipment parked in the driveway. Anti freeze is deadly. Could be oil drip. Or if in snow country salt. There may have been another animal there and she is collecting the scent

Have they been putting out salts to melt ice? It's roasting where I live, but salts are tasty.
