I think that you should ask her on a date. There is no reason for you to be a gentleman and let him ask her on a date first. How come he doesn't say that to you - "you go ahead" - ?
I tell you: you go ahead.
It all ends up to who she likes in this case. If she likes you the most - then it's settled.

talk to your friend, if he is a true mate, he should understand, but hey this is a hard one as i dont no what he is like, maybe try getting him with another person that he can become to like a lot,

I bealive we must speak with him..and tell your friend what you really feel...and...you`ll see than what you`ll really must to do!if he is a great friend and he really likes that girl(that girl likes you), he will understand and will give up.
