All the above are good answers, but somehow I feel there
must be more to it than what I've read, but right now I don't
have anymore to add.

The number 7 is the number of Heaven in the Bible. It is the number of GOD. It is the number of perfection.

It is like numerology, but not quite. This is bibical.

There are number patterns throughout the bible.

Remember, Joshua had to walk around the walls of Jericho 7 times.

Also, the numbers 10 and 12 appear frequently or their multiples.

The number 3 represents the HOLY TRINITY.

The number 5 represnts grace.

The number 4 represents repentance and sometimes a trial or struggle, or redemption.

Also in Hebrew the number 18 is, also, sacred.
The Hebrew word L'chai (life) = 18 numerically.

The Hebrew language is ALPHA-NUMERICAL.
That is to say that each letter of the Hebrew alphabet has a numerical value.

Naaman is cleansed only after the 7th dip.
Question may be asked, why not after the 6th dip or 8th?
If it is clear that he was cleansed after 7th dip only and before that he was as earlier, then that gives answer that he could have been cleansed ONLY after OBEYEING what had been commanded
There was no power in water
There was no need for him to dip 8 times.
One has to have FAITH and OBEDIENCE to get the blessings from the Lord. Because the POWER was and is in the Word that comes from the Lord. Then it was by the Prophet and now it is through the inspired writers.

7 is a number in the Bible that has the meaning of earthly completeness. It also tested Naaman's faith and proved that he really believed God would cure him.

Because that was what God required to demonstrate his faith in God's Word. Only total and complete following of God instructions bring God blessings.

Thanks for the opportunity to teach a Holy Bible truth through your question.

Have a nice day.

Simple really, its symbolic. 7 is the mystical number of the divine, 6 is the number of the beast, 5 is the number of man.

Because... Christ told him to. It wasn;t so much a physical cleansing process but an act of faith. If you believe in the power of healing then you understand the critical part faith plays.
