...some cultures believe that there is a after life. They think that if there was no after life, life as we now it has no reason. Many people believe that if you die, it is the end. There are thousands of stories where people have experienced a bright light at the moment of death, but how to prove it. It is up to each and everyone of us to believe wheater there is a life after death or no.

I'm sure that after death we stay aware, not sure whether that should be called life. Though it could well be that after death we turn into larger than life beings, if only for not having to cope with all the physical and cultural restrictions that keep us in check for a good or bad part. If this life was all there is it would be a huge waste of having to learn and getting to know all the things we do. There simply is a reason for everything. If for instance we all knew that life after death was a bigger and better thing, what would stop us from collectively committing suicide? So to loop that back there has to be a reason why we are here too, as much as there will be for us to no longer be here.

First we need to understand what life after death is - it is not what we enjoy now. It is spiritual as you already might know. Let's look at a simple way of explaining - the theory / law of energy - that it cannot be created or destroyed but turned in to another form.
Let's take it as when we live we have Kinetism (kinetic Energy) and what happens when we die is that it transforms in to Potential energy (Potancy) - This is not exactly what happens but - some what similar.
So our energy does and will exist after it leaves the physical body. It is further explained in Buddhism as to in these energy source, we will have different layers too. Which will determine whether this energy will be reinstated in a human body or else continue being a spiritual body. Even the spiritual body will have different layers that would determine so many other things that I cannot explain at this moment (will take me ages and pages)

You can not prove it but you can experience it. You can have experiences that will, with left no doubt, show you the eternity of your soul. Not only. You can go trough process of death in this very life but came back to life. The only difference between the so called death and this experience is that in the case of this controlled experience you are still connected with your body. In this process you will see stars, moon, sun, places and hear music, gongs, etc....

yes there is life after death. I can prove my answer when you die. Just a thought .... life would be meaningless if there was nothing after death.
Now I could get Biblical and prove my answer but this is something everyone needs to experience themselves, you would just get mad if I got 'religious' on you :)

my answer shouldn't and doesn't matter for you unless you seek life after death. Or it will be death after death for you. Jesus loves you and died on the cross for your sins so you can have life after death. Don't take my word for it though. Read the bible, pray to God, Prove me wrong. or better yet Do it for your salvation so you will get to enjoy life after death and experience the love God has for you. i believe in life after death without proof. However, i believe there is evidence in the seasons.
summer is full of life
with autumn death begins
in winter all is dead
then spring brings new life.
in this are signs for people of understanding.

The main reasoin why so many people believe in life after death (apart from the bible) is because so many people have been to heaven and hell, theyve been there and came back.

Yes! I can't prove it until I get there but I believe it by faith. That is what faith is, believing in something that you cant prove in the physical.
