Why do they get the best health care benefits, and our troops and vetereans get 2nd class benefits sometimes 3rd class because they have to wait up to a year for their first doctors appointment or get none at all.

This guy I know who works at the VA says they dump sick patients in the street and let them die.

the unions are corrupt, why do you think foreign car makers are doing well and GM and Ford are not?

The VA does NOT dump veterans on the street to die. Some veterans hospitals are better run and better funded than others, true. But for the most part it depends on the choice of coverage that you choose and pay for after service. I think all Doctors nowadays are less than perfect...and all of us, including vets, need to be more proactive in our choice of Dr.'s. We have to ask questions, and get answers, otherwise anyone can be left in the dark or not get the best treatment. It's not just a vet thing. Military members that are active get top medical care because they are active and need to be 100% in case of war. Spouses may have to wait a month for a visit, but service members are seen first.
As far as the auto workers getting better benefits? Maybe because they are all unionized. If the military had a union, they'd be good to go too.

it's called the UAW (United Auto Workers) Union. And I think you or your friend exagerate just a bit to make apoint and that kind of tactic only hurts your argument. They don't just dump vets on the street to die and if they did why hasn't you or 'your friend' reported it to the press or proper authorities. Part of the problem with the VA is doctors make more money in private practice and most of the doctors in the VA are military doctors getting military pay and they get out to pursue thier career as soon as possible.

because the unions are sucking the car manufactures dry.... in an American car about 2300 buck of that car goes for pension and benifits.....
