Will Turkey Invade Northern Iraq?

what is the likelyhood of this happening anytime soon?

Very unlikely, Turkey has a lot of problems with the Kurdish population which occupy the area on the border, but an invasion by Turkey would be considered an act of war too both Iraq and the US. Since Turkey is a Allie of the US I doubt it is every going to happen.

More likely is that the Kurds in the eastern providence and the Kurds in Iraq will try to reform Kurdistan. Which was a nation that existed in those lands before World War One. There would be opposition to this but it is not out of the realm of possibility.

Kurds are typically secular in governance and lifestyle, so the reconstitution of Kurdistan could be a good thing. Time will tell.

for Turkey to invade northern Iraq they would be dangerously close to starting war with the united states, which i really don't think they want. Therefore i do not see turkey invading northern Iraq. Hopefully if they don't want to suffer nuclear fallout they will destroy Iran with Israel, the United States, and whoever else will stand up to Iran.

It will be a little too much for the Iraqis. The Turkish know that and are humane enough to let the Iraqis go by their own path. The Turks should consider helping Iraq regain its former wealth and peace. They r not like Israel, u know!
