i kno cortisone shots reduce red in pimples so will a cream do the same

Actually, the benzine peroxide creams usually work pretty well. It will not only clear up your pimples but the peroxide will make them less visible. I wouldn't use a cortisone cream unless your doctor recommends it or gives it to you; since cortisone is a steroid cream and can cause thinning of the skin (anything that ends in "isone" or "izone" is a steroid).

If I were you, I would see a dermatologist or try the benzine peroxide creams. If you have a bad case of pimples or acne, you need to see a dermatologist. Acne scars are very hard and costly to get rid of.

I use a neosporin overnight to bring down the swelling faster. Also try crushing up an aspirin and make a paste with water. You will need bandaids for that.

If you use cortisone for too long it can make your skin thin, easily stretched and give you visible veins, I wouldn't use it for pimples.
