I'd like to go off with my dog and the one I'm dog-sitting for the weekend camping. Anyone know of any campsites that are next to the sea but have woods too somewhere in Suffolk? I don't want an all songing all dancing one. Just toilets and showers would do.

Hi there!

There is an excellent 4 star campsite in Kessingland, north Suffolk. It is called Heathland Beach and my sisters' take their caravans there all the time. There is also camping pitches.

There is a swimming pool and bar on site and really nice communal toilet/shower facilities (and believe me my sister is v. fussy).

It is next to the sea and you can visit their website at http://www.heathlandbeach.co.uk

It is pet friendly because we take our dogs when we visit them and have seen other pets there.

Can't help myself but try calling the camping and caravanning club, they can help, if you join they have a large campsite book included. But try their website for free first and then call them.

Hope the weather holds for you!!
