my mother named me Janelle because i was born in May of 1982 and it was that month and year that the first woman from Trinidad won Miss Universe so I was named after her. ( Her name was Janelle)

Because her name and my father's name both begin with an "S". So, she named my brother and I with "S" names. Saves on monogramming.
