I used koolaid when I was in high school for purple and blue. I found, food coloring works better. I would bleach my hair as white as I can get it, then I'd pour on food coloring, blow dry it dry, do it again, and go to bed with plastic around my hair.
NOW however, you have better options. Go to a Sally Hansen beauty supply store, and pick up a bottle of Panic! coloring, (or any other brand, just not Manic Panic, that stuff sucks )
You still need to bleach the crap out of your hair, but you can do that. I had cotton candy hair last year, and it lasted about 3 weeks. When the 3 weeks came, just pour some over the old color, and it works great. Bleach your hair when your roots come in as you normally would.
Otherwise, have fun until you have to grow up!

I'm a grown up. When I dye my hair cherry red I go to a salon and get it done right, I don't pick up cherry Kool-Aid from the Piggly Wiggly.
