first off, how old is she? You need to be consistent with punishment and rewards. Every time she does something wrong punish her. But always give her a warning first like "if you do that again you'll be in trouble", if she is young then if she does the thing again put her on time-out. The rule of thumb is one minute for every year, like if she's 5 then time-out should be 5 minutes. If she older, like a teenager then take things away when she does things wrong, like computer or phone priveleges and talk to her about why what she did was wrong. NEVER use "spanking" as a way to punish her because this will just teach her to fear you. Also, be sure to reward good behaviour, i give my 2 year old nephew a sticker or buy him a new toy every time he does what i ask the whole day or when he helps me to do something. If she is a teenager then maybe give her a bonus in her allowance if she's done as you've asked for the whole week, or maybe let her stay out with friends an extra hour. Also, try to remind her that you love her as often as possible, if she's a teen then she will also need to be told that she can come to you and tell you anything and you will be understanding and not get angry too quickly. I am a teenager (17) and know how much it helps if you have an adult in your life you can trust.

You can give your child positive reinforment which means that for every time he listens to you you give him a treat or reward him. Or for every five times what ever you want.

The bad side is that once they get they wont listen

Or

You can try negative reinforcment like time out for 5-10 minutes depending on what he did. This can also have negative draw backs too. Your child might not like time out and rebel but it usaly works

There is no sure way to make your child listen to you. There are different ways each with pros and cons

It depends what culture you are coming from. For example. My family is from Tonga, which is located in the South Pacific. The parents manage their children by giving them a few slaps here and there. Well theres more but i'm not trying to be too specific. You have to start teaching her at a young age that no means no and what not. Let your daughter know whassup and that your that boss and you run things around....

Set her down and let her know that you are her freind and also the parent...Let them know that they can come to you with anything if they need to and that you will listen to them....When they do this you have to pull your end too you have to be there for them thru everything...Let them know that you want to know where she is at all times because with so much happening these days you would just feel better knowing...Take her on shopping trips .Let her know that mom can have fun too...

Be consistent. If you're gonna punish her for doing something bad, punish her EVERYTIME she does it. Don't be "wishy washy" about how/when you discipline her. If you're not consistant than she'll do whatever she wants cuz there's no telling if she'll get in trouble. That and love her. Show her love. Make sure she knows you love her.
