migrains can be stress related you might want to take a medicine like excederin migrain also if you know want is stressing you out try to get rid of the stress try not thinking about a stessful job or a bad situtian instead take a nice warm bubble bath with candles a cool rag on your head and just relax also try to rub your temples and there are creams and headache patches that you can buy at a store if it isnt stress then it could also be a sinus headache alot of people have been complaining about sinus problems so if it is sinus then you might want to take something for sinus and do a humidifier and try to stay away from alot of pollen

migraines are mainly caused by stress. However they are not comparable to a regular head ache although painkillers can sometimes help get rid of the head ache they will not get rid of the pressure you will experience in your head and on your eyes(mainly due to irritation from light. My own remedy against migraine is very simple drink plenty of water and stay in the dark; or keep your eyes shut (a good tip if you suffer from migraine: buy yourself a pair of dark red sunglasses. They make all colours very faint; this way you can still walk around the house and not be to bothered with the light shining in.)

All pills have side effects, it's better to get rid of the stress factor.

Migraines can be caused by stress. If you learn how to cope with stress...any stress...you will get fewer migraines. Look into some self help books, especially ones that deal with anxiety (The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook comes to mind...an excellent book). You will find lots of techniques that reduce stress in there.

Some theories [ eg in psychotherapy ] would say that Migraine is a symptom / somatic represention of an underlying emotional condition, strees being one, therefore it would be better to treat the condition therapeutically to relieve the symptom.

Sure use medication [ be aware of potential side effects ] to alleviate the immediate discomfort but then think of looking at why the symptom is presenting..

Go Well...
