Just so you know I don’t think I am going to hell. It’s the look I will get when I am judged. I would like it to be a little friendlier. What scares me is how many people are marching to the beat of Armageddon. As this could effect lots of people and descisions.( sorry about the caps lock)

Every generation of Christians has had those who believed they were living in the "End Times."

Remember how it was all supposed to end on 1-1-2000? It didn't.

How about 6-6-2006? Nope, still here.

Now it's been delayed another 6 years to 2012? Get real.

All the apocalyptic psychos out there need to wake up and learn to live in reality instead of desperately hoping for it all to end.

I can tell you are upset. But take a look in your Bible at some of these scriptures. 1 Thessalonians 5:1,2 says that Armageddon will come at such a time no will know when it is due (Matt 24:36). Also, we learn in 2 Peter 3:9, that Jehovah is not slow respecting His promise, but wants all to live when His son comes to take an accounting. What does all this mean? That, indeed, there will a Great Day of the Almighty, but he has enough sense and knowledge of people's heart condition to bring it about only when He knows that there will be found no more worshipers of Him on the entire face of this Earth. I believe in the end times, too, by the way, but I also understand the above to be true as well. Hope this helps.

Regardless of where one stands on the apocalypse, I do know this: God is Sovereign. It is He who determines the Last Days. Only He knows when it will happen, and how it will happen. (Matthew 24:36)

Will there be human agents involved? Of course, just as there were at the Fall of Man. But everything works for His glory. If people go to hell, is it God's fault? No, it is the individual's fault.

As it says in Romans 1, we are without excuse. God has made Himself clearly known. People suppress the truth. When someone acts on the truth, God gives them even more light.

During the days of the Soviet Union, Irina Ratushinskaya was a precocious 10 year old girl. She lived in Odessa. She was having to listen to her teacher go through a mandatory atheism class. She thought to herself, "My parents told me once or twice that there was no such things as ghosts or monsters. That was it. But the State tells me every week that there is no God. He must be very powerful if they are so afraid of Him."

As Irina grew up, she was given more truth, until one day she was actually able to get her hands on a Bible, written in an ancient Slavic script. She learned that language so that she could read it. She discovered that she believed the truth, and was a Christian, by God's incomparable grace, in the middle of the officially atheistic Soviet Union.

So, again, God is in control. He makes all things work toward His glory and honor. And He will bring about the end times in His own time, and nothing we do or say can slow it down, or speed it up.

1) No one knows the day nor the hour of His return.
2) We all have had the opportunity to "change ourselves" but, if we've made the choice to do so should be our biggest concern and the biggest thing we'll be judged on.
3) Living your life on your terms and hoping that you get on God's good side in enough time in these times is too big of a risk to take if someone did "push that button".

Like the bumper sticker says: Get Right or get left

Good question. I agree with you. But we have no idea the day or the hour of the end of this wicked old system- “Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father. Keep looking, keep awake, for YOU do not know when the appointed time is.-Mark 13:32,33

Even knowing this though I still would like it to come soon because it is hard seeing all the things going on in the world today. I want it to end but I also know that God is allowing time for those who are seeking him to find him and come to him.

So we have to make the decision to take our stand on the side of God and his truths . “This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.”—John 17:3.

It is not that we are in a hurry. It is that the events that are transpiring seem to fit the "end times" of the Bible. The Bible says that "no man shall know the hour of My coming" . No one will know when it is until it happens.

As for living longer "to get on the better side of God" : Don't wait. Turn from your sins and lead a Christian life now. What are you waiting for?

It's not the first time we've heard end time predictions and it won't be the last - all I know is scripture says we are to be ready and watching and in the meantime, we are to be sharing the gospel (truth) of Jesus Christ. So, when he comes in the Eastern sky with trumpets sounding, I'll be ready - but I believe it when God says it's his desire that none perish also - that doesn't mean they won't - it just means that I think he will come in his own timing and if he wasn't willing to let Jesus know when it was, he sure isn't going to let anyone of us living now know!

Life is not a certainty but death is the only one. We have to be ready to every second of our lives. You might never wake up the next morning. Some people are ready to and some are not. You must make sure that your heart is right and that you are set right with God. God is the only one who knows when He is coming back to get us. All the prophecy's well i don't listen to that. I live my life each day to the fullest cause tomorrow might not be there for me. Live you live but in anticipation. Be ready every single day of you life.

Well, I think the real issue here is that nobody knows when it's going to happen. It is good to have a desire for His return - and one should if you know Him. God is a just God and will do things in His own time and will take all things into consideration. His desire is that all come into a relationship with Him, but He also knows who will and who won't. We don't.
