I am wanting to know how the Army can have an enlisted soldier in two very different jobs. Without saying too much, I would like information if possible from those who are active military, preferably active Army. Thank you!

DIA is not for Active Duty SMs. Only way an enlisted soldier can have two different MOSs is if he/she reclasses, or goes special ops. If the latter is chosen, the SM can keep his original MOS designation, but he will no longer be doing that job. The operator may be using some of the original skills in his primary MOS, but SF training adds loads more to their proficiency in said MOS.

GYour question is not especially clear. Jobs can vary depending where they need someone. People are not always assigned to their occupational specialty. You can be an Infantryman pulling duty as a door-gunner or an artilleryman with a top secret clearance driving the base Generals car around.

if one worked for the DIA - Defense Intelligence Agency or Army Intelligence, that would be possible.

BUT, this would aloo be a convenient lie to tell if one were cheating on a spouse or doing other, possibly illegal, things that filled up a lot of time.

everyone has an MOS. some people have more than one. one may require a higher Clearance than another. Additionally, there are collateral duties or times when one is doing something other than what their MOS has trained them for. and yes, one can be doing two jobs at once....
