A lot of people are answering to rub the cat's nose in it. Do not do this, the cat is not going to understand. The cat is trying to tell you something. Probably has something to do with the food. Look at the food you are feeding the cat, is "corn" in the ingredients? Cats are meat eaters and should not be eating corn, but it is in most cat foods as a filler. I had a cat that peed everywhere, but when I changed the food to a no grain food, it stopped within a couple of weeks.

Some cats do not like covered litter boxes. The box must be kept clean. Perhaps you are in an apartment and another cat peed there before? Not enough attention? There are lots of reasons a cat will go to the bathroom on your carpet, but usually it is a communication thing, your cat is trying to tell you something.

well i would say you would have to train it or there are special things you can put in their food that will cause them to not pee on carpet i don't know how they make the sprinkles things like that but i know it works or this spray called bitter apples that i know works too umm get a litter box or training puppy pads work sometimes or a rug that is washable that it can pee on it does require some training and hard work you'll need treats for him or her when they do well in the training or umm let him go outside or Litter Box train him. Whenever the cat starts peeing on the carpet, quickly pick the cat up and run him to the box, and make sure he stays there until he goes and make him know that that place is where he should go NOT the carpet (you have to have a clean littler box or the cat won't even go into it at all they like things clean so it like needs to have no clumps in the sand stuff.) i had this same problem too though. And you could like take some of the scent of the urine and put it in the box that will have his territory scent in there. This might require tough love maybe lol umm but Good LUCK I HOPE YOU SUCCEED

Box train them. Whenever the cat starts peeing on the carpet, quickly pick the cat up and run him to the box, and make sure he stays there until he finishes his buisness. Make it very clear to your pet the litter box, not the carpet, is where you go to the bathroom!

Best of luck

First thing first...You need to potty train your kitty and make sure you keep the litter box clean...Cats are very nasty about their litter
box being clean...After than go to Petsmart or Petco and get a bottle of bitter apples and spray the carpet where you cat pee and he will not pee there again...Dogs and cats hate to smell or taste bitter apples...GOOD LUCK...

By keeping his litter box clean. When you find it on the carpet, rub his nose in it and shove him under the shower for a couple seconds.
